Atlanta Hawks forward Jonathan Kuminga made a 75-foot 3-pointer late in the third quarter during his team's 135-120 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on March 18, 2026, at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.[1]
With about five seconds remaining in the quarter, Kuminga grabbed a defensive rebound near his own basket, took one dribble and threw a cross-court pass toward center Jock Landale under the opposing rim. The pass instead banked straight through the net for three points. Kuminga reacted with surprise, placing both hands on his head.[2]
The shot marked the longest made basket by a Hawks player during the NBA play-by-play era (since the 1996-97 season) and the sixth-longest league-wide in that span, according to Elias Sports Bureau. It surpassed the previous Hawks record of 63 feet set by Jason Terry on January 5, 2000.[3]
The victory extended Atlanta's winning streak to 11 games, tying for the fourth-longest in franchise history. The Hawks' longest streak remains the 19 consecutive wins during the 2014-15 season.[4]
American Airlines Center has been the Dallas Mavericks' home arena since 2001.[1]
